Our Story
The Craft Revival (Est. 2014) is a volunteer run organization focused on supporting artists and makers in the Northwestern Ontario region. It was created to bring together local artists, enhance community bond, and to revive the art of crafting. The goal - to provide a platform where makers can showcase their talents, promote themselves and their products. The Craft Revival started as a small gathering of friends and has now blossomed into a collective of 200+ artisans.
The Craft Revival is a bi-annual event taking place each Spring and Winter. The event USUALLY takes over 25 venues in downtown Thunder Bay, creating pop-up markets for locals and tourists to enjoy! It is about bringing together the community for much more than just a craft show-- think live painting, musicians and performers, aerial silks performances, pop-up cafes, horse drawn sleigh rides and more!
2020 was one for the books! Covid-19 brought on many challenges especially for artists, makers, and small business owners in Thunder Bay/Ontario/The World! Our Craft Revival crew had to change things up by bringing the event completely ONLINE! Shoppers are able to browse and shop 100+ vendors safely and conveniently from home.
We are overwhelmed by the continuous support and THANK YOU for shopping local xo
“Disenchanted with the impersonal, mechanical direction of society, the Craft Revival advocates the arts and craft movement with a return to well-made, handcrafted products instead of mass produced, machine-made items.”
